I am pleased to announce that I am stepping into the Editor in Chief role for EEGS’s quarterly geophysics magazine, FastTIMES, starting with the March 2026 issue.
I look forward to continuing my collaboration with near-surface geophysics colleagues through this new position. I hope to support the growth of FastTIMES as a way to enable the EEGS community to engage and stay connected with the organization and each other by highlighting the latest in EEGS news and activities as well as our community’s diverse range of scientific applications, sectors, demographics, career levels, and geographies.

The March 2026 issue features articles on environmental and engineering applications of fiber-optic distributed sensing (DAS, DTS, and DSC). I am also launching a series of new recurring columns to better connect members with EEGS activities and with each other.
